Personal Bio
Harrison Toma is a music educator and trombone player based in Southern California pursing the field of music education. As a Dean’s List student from Riverside City College and Cal State LA Harrison exemplifies hard work and dedication inside and outside of the classroom. Harrison has performed all over the country with groups like the Riverside City College Wind Ensemble, The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps and the Cal State LA Jazz Band offering a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of classical, jazz and marching band music. A recipient of the John Philip Sousa award for outstanding leadership Harrison is passionate about teaching the next generation of musicians and is actively engaged in music coaching throughout Southern California. Harrison has worked with multiple award winning high school band programs like Arcadia HS, Vista Murrieta HS and Etiwanda HS that have medaled in the marching band season and won unanimous superiors in the concert band season. After graduating and obtaining a teaching credential Harrison is looking forward to becoming a director of his own in Southern California with a middle school or high school band. Utilizing his past experiences and passion in this field he hopes to instill a new appreciation for music for all his students in public school music programs.
